The Motion of The Film

 The process of the short film titled "A happy ending" or filming any film would need things like a location, props, actors, health and safety, costumes, a schedule and of course a backup plan.

Schedule- As for schedule, we are still working on it. we wanted to finalize all filming and wrap up editing by the end of spring break so that when come time to turn in the short film, we are more than prepared.

Location-For Location, we were thinking of filming in thee standard places. A supermarket(Publix), Nyla's house, a parking lot at Nyla's house, an a park with pretty lights. There will probably be other places like down the street but those will all be scenes leading up to arriving at those specific Locations. We plan on utilizing each location at different times of the day seeing as we want o use the lighting to help represent the characters emotion



Participants- As of right now, our participants consist of Nyla, David, Nyla's mom, and Rashell. Of course David and Rashell wont be in front or on camera. They'll be working on filming and editing only. Nyla will be doing a little bit of all, including acting. We are still trying to complete our cast list. We just need to see who is busy and who isn't.

Health and Safety- Obviously health and safety is by far the most important factor of this project and any project in general. We'd have Rashell's mom with us the entire time, driving us and helping us to not do anything dumb or out of the ordinary.

Props/Costumes- Our most prominent prop would be an onion and a phone. There isn't anything that plays an important role in the plot so we aren't sure what props we'd need other than normal household items that would be used under natural circumstances. As for costumes, it's really the same thing We'd have the characters dress like their financial situation to help highlight the storyline.

If we can't film in Nyla's house the we will go to Rashells. Seeing as her mom is always home, she could easily replace Nyla's mom on the cast list. It is easy to find a supermarket so Publix won't be our only option. a for scheduling, we plan on film as soon as possible and we probably won't follow schedule anyways. But if can't all meet up then someone will have to recast and film it themselves.

The Struggle of Editing

 Todays editing could be described as a hard fought victory. Today was the day I had a lot of work to get done that I ended up finishing in due time. It took lots of stress, and endurance but the video is done. Thank the lord that the video is done. It wasn't everything I hoped it would be but I definitely will settle for less. The only reason I will do this is because this is my first time doing this. My skills and knowledge will only improve from here. The way this commercial ends will not be the same as the others to come. I have faith that I will be able to do better from here on out due to my determination. Especially because this is something that I actually enjoy to do. This was something that I viewed as a fun project. The editing was still the less favorable part within the whole entire project. Genre Research- Drama

Drama CAMS- Dramas are usually associated with extremely close up shots, bird eye views, medium shots, over the shoulder shots and close ups.  MIS-EN-SCENE For drama's things like setting, props, and costumes may vary but in regards to things like acting and make-up they are usually the same. Through most of the movies viewed, drama's are usually associated with serious acting, not a lot of joking around. The makeup like most films that aren’t superhero movies, are natural. Same for costumes, the just depend on the characters  Editing- The editing always has some kind of foreshadowing. They try to let the characters know that something is going to happen through the way they edit the sequence is very fore-shadowy. Sound-  The sound happens to vary, but it’s normally a very still-sounding no word track playing.
